Now open in Wayzata: The Dough Room

There’s another new restaurant to try in Wayzata.

The Dough Room, an Italian restaurant from 28-year-old chef Alex Dayton, opened late last month in the Promenade of Wayzata, replacing District Fresh Kitchen.

Pizza and pasta are the focus of the new restaurant, which Dayton is heading after working in several Twin Cities kitchens, including Borough, Butcher and The Boar, Cocina del Barrio, The Kenwood, Red Wagon Pizza, Sea Change and Tenant. Dayton has also spent time in San Francisco, working as chef de cuisine and in various kitchen roles at Benu, Monsieur Benjamin and Flour + Water.
